With the Commonwealth games around the corner, South Somerset Community Badminton Network, Westfield Academy and Yarlington Housing Group are joining forces to promote brand new Family Badminton Sessions in Yeovil. Starting on 28 June, qualified coaches will be on hand every Saturday morning from 9 to 10am to help families improve their technique and to make sure they have fun whilst playing the game. South Somerset District Council’s new V3 Project Development Officer, Ewa Prokop, kicked off the V3 public consultation events on Saturday 7 June at Yeovil Town Library as part of National Volunteers Week. Since starting the role within the Countryside Team in May this year, Ewa has also been consulting with individual community groups and event attendees about their aspirations for Yeovil Country Park.
