Ferne Animal Sanctuary is urgently seeking a new home for Quiver and Quintus, two rare breed Eriskay ponies. They originally came to live at the Sanctuary when due to the owners’ ill-health they could no longer be cared for. Despite Ferne rehoming them again, unfortunately, nearly three years on, Quiver and Quintus have now lost their grazing home due to the land being redeveloped for housing. Be aware – Council Tax scam in operation
South Somerset District Council has received notification from a resident that a Council Tax scam email is being sent to some residents in South Somerset. A concerned resident has alerted the Council to a possible Council Tax scam. They received an e-mail saying they had an unpaid Council Tax bill as a payment hadn’t been processed and asking them to click on a link to update their records. Full story: Read more
