A new programme of courses designed to help local people explore their family and local history has been announced by the South West Heritage Trust. The courses start in November and will be held at the Somerset Heritage Centre in Taunton. Somerset bra fitting service helps double mastectomy survivor feel like a woman again
A 43 year old woman who had a double mastectomy as a result of finding she had the BRCA1 gene has been helped by a Somerset based specialist bra fitting service, Orchid Lingerie, which has made her “feel like a woman” again. Val Trice who lives in Sherborne, Dorset carries the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes which put her at high risk of developing breast and ovarian cancers. Full story: Read more
Angling reopens at Chard Reservoir
South Somerset District Council and Chard Angling Club are delighted to be welcoming anglers back to Chard Reservoir Local Nature Reserve from Monday 17 October.
