To celebrate the launch of its 2015 batch of keeved cider, Pilton Cider is holding a new season party at its cidery in Shepton Mallet, Somerset on Friday 29 April from 8pm. Those attending on the night will be among the first to taste the fresh and fruity 2015 harvest cider, just released from six months of cold fermentation, and will also have the opportunity to browse through Pilton Cider’s back catalogue since 2010. Yeovil Vintage Market set to return to the town centre from April
Yeovil’s Vintage Market is set to return to the town centre from Saturday 2 April and will continue until September on King George Street. The vintage market in Yeovil is in its third year and continues to grow in size with additional stalls and is complimented with a programme of live music. The ever-popular vintage market is held on the first Saturday of every month from 9.00am until 4.00pm with the last one being held in September; however there will also be a special one to coincide with this year’s Super Saturday on 24 September. Over 1,000 trees planted over the winter months at Yeovil Country Park
The countryside rangers and volunteers at South Somerset District Council’s Yeovil Country Park have been busy planting trees this winter. In total, over 1,000 trees have been planted in the Ninesprings area of the Country Park since November 2015. The vast majority of these were free, with the Friends of Yeovil Country Park securing free tree packs from the Woodland Trust and The Conservation Volunteers. Full story: Read more
