New TV Show looking for North Dorset Shoppers

rdf televisionProducers of a new TV show are looking for people from the North Dorset area for a new prime time TV programme for a major UK broadcaster. It’s a feel good programme that also provides information on how and why supermarkets do what they do. We need families, couples and friends who would like the opportunity to take part. The programme will be following various people as they embark on their weekly food shop in different stores across the UK; from the high street supermarket to the independent store, the local deli or specialist food shop. FREE Business Support returns to Glastonbury

Red Brick BuildingFree information and advice will be on offer to local businesses on Tuesday 22 March from 9am – 2pm at The Red Brick Building in Glastonbury. A similar event was held last year and was a big success with a great turn out. This year’s event has been organised by the recently reformed Street Chamber of Commerce who were keen to offer advice and build relationships with new and existing local businesses. Commemorative tree planted for Poundbury residents 

Poundbury Garden Tree planting ceremonyOn Saturday 5 March, Mike Burks, managing director of The Gardens Group (above right), planted a tree in Woodlands Crescent as a gift to local residents during Poundbury Gardens’ 10-year anniversary celebrations. The Alnus incana Aurea, which is more commonly known as a Golden Alder, was a particular favourite of Mike’s father, David Burks, who was a regular visitor to both the garden centre and the neighbouring park during its early years.
