The Yeovil in Bloom Steering Group is holding a promotional event in the Quedam Shopping Centre on Saturday 6 April from 10pm until 2pm to encourage neighbourhood communities to sow seeds to promote floral and vegetable growth.An area in the raised bed next to BHS in Yeovil will be cleared and the shrubs will be replaced with wildflower and perennial mixes that not only look spectacular, but will feed butterflies. Roman Event at Community Heritage Access Centre
On 10 April 2013, Yeovil’s Community Heritage Access Centre will become a Mosaic Workshop for one day only! Come and make your very own mosaic and discover the craft of the ancient Romans – how they made mosaics and why. The workshop running from 10am to 12 noon is open to everyone, with a cost of £5 per person to cover materials. Robotic Easter at Fleet Air Arm Museum
It’s a battle for the survival of the fittest robot this Easter at the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Robots from all over the UK will be trundling towards the Fleet Air Arm Museum on April 10th-12th in an all out battle to grind, slam and crush the opposition. The event is organised by Robo Challenge Ltd whose expertise in building robots is regularly seen on TV’s The Gadget Show.
