Yeovil Country Parks Halloween Trail was a great success this year, with an estimated 2,000 people completing the trail on Friday 28 October. Over 800 paying children and approximately 300 under 3’s took part in the trail and received a small prize at the end. With parents included, the number of people taking part is estimated at around 2,000. Full story: Read more
Held annually on the grassed area at Yeovil Country Park, besides the Ninesprings Cafe, South Somerset District Council’s Fun Dog show is always a date for the diary. This year, the event will be held on Sunday 19 June and dogs of all breeds and ages are welcome, although sadly there are restrictions on puppies under 6 months of age entering the show. South Somerset District Council is delighted to announce that this summer artist, Carolyn Lefley, will be working with various groups in Yeovil Country Park, as part of a three year project to encourage wider use of the park. The project, entitled Water – Meadow – Wood, provides a greater opportunity for engagement with people to interpret the natural, cultural and historical heritage of the Country Park; Caroline will focus on the park’s grasslands and meadows.
