National Voter Registration Day is coming – Are you ready to vote?

New Year brings new affordable housing strategy release

CLT 4South Somerset District Council has released its affordable housing strategy which will see 540 additional affordable houses built in the next three years. The published new strategy includes plans for 270 additional homes by April 2015 and a further 270 homes over the next three years. The strategy also contains measures to protect the district’s most vulnerable residents and a new policy to safeguard rural social housing vacancies for local applicants. Full story: Read more

The waiting is over for a free insulation offer

SSDCSouth Somerset residents are being given the opportunity to improve their home for free, thanks to grant funding which is immediately available. Supported by South Somerset District Council, the Home Energy Team offer free and impartial energy saving advice and are on hand to give the latest information about the grants available.
