The quartet has some stunning tunes to play: Some especially beautiful jazz standards; tunes by Keith Jarrett; Wyne Shorter; Horace Silver; just a little open-ended original material and a special Kenny Wheeler featured section to mark this great writer and player’s recent passing in as joyful way as we know he would want. New sponsorship for Sherborne Jazz Club!
Sherborne Jazz Club has been given a boost this year with new sponsorship, and a grant from PRSF and Jazz Services. Club chair Paul Chousmer took receipt of the PRSF and Jazz Services Jazz Promoters Award last month, given “in recognition of the panel being impressed by your diverse programme containing exciting new music”.
