Somerset lady wins at The Great Dorset Steam Fair

Last week at The Great Dorset Steam Fair, one of the biggest events in Europe and as seen on BBC One’s Countryfile by 6.7 million viewers, Jackie Nicholls from Ashville Design, near Chard in Somerset, who was exhibiting in the Rural Craft Marquee won an award with her artificial flower arrangements for “The Most Colourful and Artistic Craft Display”. Yeovil Rec’s I Am Team GB event is a huge success

Yeovil Recreation Centre was transformed into a mini Olympic venue when the I Am Team GB event brought a huge range of sports clubs together on Saturday 27 August. The event – organised by South Somerset District Council – encouraged hundreds of people to have a go at sports that they would not normally have access to.
