The Museum of Somerset’s autumn events programme of heritage and history talks has been announced. DORSET NECTAR WINS CUP FOR BEST CIDER AT HINTON ST.GEORGE
The 8th South Somerset Cider Sampling took place on Friday 9th September in the Village Hall at Hinton St.George. The annual event was as popular as ever as members of the public were handed tickets to sample the many ciders on display in return for a modest entrance fee. Full story: Read more
A Talk about Somerset’s Buccaneer at the Museum of Somerset
Somerset buccaneer William Dampier is the subject of an evening talk at the Museum of Somerset on Tuesday 13 September. The talk is part of the museum’s summer exhibition ‘Pirates! Fact and Fiction’ which explores pirates through history, in film and in literature. The talk will be given by Tom Mayberry, Chief Executive of the South West Heritage Trust.
