Yeovil College student Oliver Gear has won a competition to design a logo for Radio Ninesprings, Yeovil’s new community radio station. Through a grant from Somerset County Council’s Creative Industries Development Fund, Radio Ninesprings Project Manager, Steve Haigh, worked with Yeovil College students, providing talks on various broadcasting topics and giving them the opportunity to design the station’s new logo and branding. Zero Project under 18’s Easter Party set for Club Neo in Yeovil
Attendees to the next Zero Project Under 18’s Easter Party will get the chance to have their picture snapped in a free fun photo booth on Wednesday 1 April. Located at Club Neo, Stars Lane, Yeovil from 7.00pm – 11.00pm, Zero Project’s Easter Party is aimed at year 9 students and upwards and attracts young people from across Somerset and Dorset. Notice of election to be published for District and Parishes
Formal ‘notice of election’ for the forthcoming District Council and Parish, Town and City Council elections will be published on Monday 23rd March. As well as parliamentary elections on May 7th, voters will also go to the polls to elect councillors in 34 Mendip District Council wards and there will also be 71 parish elections.
