INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ENGINEERS AT AIR DAY

Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton International Air Day on Saturday 8 July plans to inspire the next generation of engineers with an extensive display of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related interactive exhibits. Leading the way will be a full-scale replica of Bloodhound, the vehicle attempting to travel at 1,000 mph for the World Land Speed Record later this year. Strode College Students Delighted with Doris Dowry

A Level Textiles students at Strode College had some fantastic news recently, when they secured substantial funding from The Doris Southcott Bursary. Sue Green, Textiles teacher at Strode College, said: “I originally applied for £9000, so I was incredibly surprised and extremely grateful to be awarded £30,000! This will enable our students to achieve goals that may previously have been unfeasible due to costs.” Full story: Read more
