Pupils at King Ina Academy became artists for the day last month, when international artist Jan Niedojadlo visited and helped them to build their own ‘pod’ sculptures. Jan’s interactive ‘podule’ exhibition had been on display at ACEArts in Somerton earlier this year and received positive comments from visitors of all ages, who were delighted at being encouraged to touch and climb into the artwork. Leweston pupil, Lorna (aged 9) has been awarded second place in a national poster competition about Staying Safe Online. The competition was run by the charity, Out of Your Hands, which supports exploring the digital world safely and happily. Lorna’s class all created posters in their Computing lessons and even took the photographs that they used. Full story: Read more
