Chard Business Centre drop-in sessions helps obtain valuable feedback

Two drop-in events held at the Lace Mill in Chard have helped South Somerset District Council plan towards creating a Chard Business Centre. The events were held on Friday 2 December and Saturday 3 December and were aimed at those who were thinking about starting a business, needed support and guidance or were looking for somewhere to expand into for special projects. Festive parking cheer for Chard, Crewkerne and Ilminster shoppers

SSDCFestive cheer will be spread to shoppers in Chard, Crewkerne and Ilminster with the news that they will be able to park for free on Saturday 17 December. South Somerset District Council’s (SSDC) Area West Committee agreed at their meeting in November to fund free parking on Saturday 17 December to encourage shoppers to support our market towns in the festive season and rediscover what can be bought locally.

Local flower lovers recently celebrated the start of autumn at a flower arranging workshop held at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall, near Chard in Somerset. Before starting work, the group watched a step-by-step demonstration by their tutor. The village hall was full of fun and laughter as they learnt new ideas and tricks of the trade.
