Just back from a stint at Chelsea Flower Show celebrating the success of the Viking Cruises Mekong Garden’s gold and best artisan awards, Somerset-based artists Fiona Campbell and Nick Weaver were overawed by the massive interest in their focal pieces for the garden, which certainly had the wow factor. Visitors to the Museum of Somerset in Taunton will be able to enjoy two newly-acquired paintings which went on display on Monday. The artist Lucinda Rogers is delighted to announce an exhibition of new and recent work at Rook Lane Arts in Frome, throughout May 2016. ‘Industrious: Drawings of workspace in London & Somerset’, will build on Rogers’ longstanding interest in industrial spaces as engines of urban communities, frequently now under threat from controversial redevelopment.
