Twenty-five Strode College Art and Design students visited Berlin recently to seek inspiration for their work from the vibrancy and creativity of the city. Foundation course manager and trip leader Duncan Cameron explained: “The educational visits we offer to students make a clear and positive impact on their work, in terms of vision and ambition. ArtsLink welcomes artist and tutor Keith Stott
ArtsLink are excited to welcome Keith Stott to ArtsLink and Sherborne. Keith is an experienced Soft Pastels artist and tutor previously based in Devon but now living in Shaftesbury. Largely self-taught, his love of Dartmoor has inspired a figurative style that expresses the atmosphere and moods of the landscape, capturing the light and drama of the environment. The Art of Victor Ambrus celebrated at the Museum of Somerset from 23 April to 2 July
The achievement of the Hungarian-born artist and illustrator Victor Ambrus is celebrated at the Museum of Somerset from 23 April to 2 July. ‘The Art of Victor Ambrus’ features some 90 original works created over a period of nearly 60 years by this much-loved artist. Victor is one of Britain’s foremost illustrators of history, folk tales and children’s books and is well known for his archaeological reconstructions created for Channel 4’s Time Team series.
