Yeovil Junior Netball Club unlucky in the Regionals Preliminary round at Exeter University

Yeovil Junior Netball ClubOn Sunday 10th March Yeovil Junior Netball Club represented Somerset in the Regional  Prelims at Exeter University.

After some initial nerves and losing the first game against West Exeter 10-3, Yeovil picked up speed and determination for the next game against Somerset League rivals Wells.

Despite working hard they were unlucky to lose 8-7. The next match was against Ivybridge where Yeovil found their rhythm and won convincingly 12-5. Their final match in the pools was their hardest opponents of the day, Saints Cornwall.

Yeovil took up the challenge and dug in, managing to keep up the opposition but unfortunately losing 9-8.

DSCF1409[1]In their final match, play-off round was against Plymouth Marjons where Yeovil finished off a brilliant day winning 10-7.

This positioned Yeovil 7th overall in the Prelims. Thank you to all parents, coaches, umpire and helpers on the day, and just goes to show how talented and hardworking the youth talent is in Yeovil.
