Wild Beer Co win Best Drinks Producer at the BBC Food & Farming Awards 2017

The Wild Beer Co are still dusting themselves down after claiming the Best Drinks Producers crown at the BBC Food & Farming Awards at Bristol’s City Hall last night!

Facing stiff competition from not only their fellow category entrants (Oliver’s Cider and The Asterly Bros), but from many of hundreds that entered the competition, they came out on top in this prestigious awards ceremony.

The category seeks to reward those who display exceptional provenance and demonstrate excellence and originality in their production methods as well as support the rural economy.

After a year that has seen The Wild Beer Co successfully crowd fund £1.9m towards a new brewery facility, increased export to 28 countries, the launch of their ‘Sleeping Lemons’ Gin, and the continued roll out of new and exciting beers that challenge the taste and perception in beer…this is somewhat a feather in the cap for the Somerset-based brewery.

A company spokesperson said:

‘We are incredibly proud of this achievement and feel honoured to take our place amidst the other winners who all provided stories of excellence and inspiration. We salute you all…’
