With the deadline to register to vote in the forthcoming parliamentary and local elections fast approaching, Mendip District Council is encouraging local residents to go online and register as soon as possible. The deadline to register to vote is Monday 20th April. On May 7th voters go to the polls to elect MPs for the Wells and Somerton and Frome constituencies. National Voter Registration Day is coming – Are you ready to vote?
Thursday 5th February 2015 celebrates National Voter Registration Day, a day that launches a week of activities across the nation by the Electoral Commission to encourage as many people as possible to register to vote. As the countdown to the General and Local Elections on Thursday 7 May 2015 begins, residents of South Somerset are being encouraged to make sure they are on the Electoral Register.
