Somerset Sight supports people in Somerset who are blind or partially sighted through regular visits by local volunteers, many people are housebound and have no family to visit them. We welcome volunteers of any age into our befriending service – you need no particular qualities, just the desire to help someone who needs a friend and a willingness to visit someone regularly. Annual Bank of England update is a sell-out success
Over 60 business people attended this year’s Bank of England update, organised by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, to hear the Bank’s views on the current economic situation and the prospects for the British economy over the next two to three years. It’s time to get your glad rags on and dress to impress as Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Wambrook, near Chard, Somerset prepare to celebrate the highlight of their year with a 75th Anniversary Ball on Saturday 19th September at Woodlands Castle, Ruishton in Taunton.
