A team of Strode College A level students recently came first in the South West regional heat of the Bank of England’s ‘Target Two Point Zero’ economics challenge. Ten teams competed by taking on the role the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee. They had to assess economic conditions and set an interest rate to meet the Government’s inflation target of 2.0%. Full story: Read more
Brookside Academy, Street is the only school to be honored in the Centrica Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer list, which is compiled annually by the National Apprenticeship Service. The list was announced at the National Apprenticeship Awards that took place on 20 January at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Full story: Read more
Brookside Academy in Street, is celebrating the new term with the news that they have been judged as highly commended at the South West National Apprenticeship Awards 2016. The Academy was the only primary school in the country to feature in the awards and gained ‘highly commended’ in the category of ‘medium employer of the year’. Full story: Read more
