Yeovil Bike Park Cheque Presentation 1South Somerset District Council’s plans to make improvements to Lyde Park have taken a giant jump closer to reality thanks to a £5,000 Health and Wellbeing grant from Somerset County Councillor Tony Lock. South Somerset District Council (SSDC) is planning to develop an exciting new location for children, young people and adults to cycle and use bikes. Make sure you stay safe this Christmas

SSDCWith the festive period nearly upon us, South Somerset District Council is urging its residents to stay safe this Christmas and book taxis in advance of their evening out. When the party is over and you need to get home, remember these guidelines about council licensed taxis: NEVER get in to a taxi that does not display an appropriate plate at the rear. It is not insured and may not be licensed. Ensure that the driver is displaying a council approved driver’s badge. South Somerset District Council welcomes transport announcement on A303/A358
