Haynes International Motor Museum Voted Best South West for Toursim & Leisure
Following the well-publicised £6m refurbishment and extension project which opened in April 2014, the Haynes International Motor Museum is again celebrating award success. Readers may recall that in November 2014 the museum was the proud recipient of the prestigious International Historic Motoring Award for “Museum or Collection of the Year”. On Thursday 21st May the museum was again in the spotlight, this time at the RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) South West Awards, held at the Marriot Hotel, Bristol City Centre. A local food show – The Only Way is Local – is to be held at Haynes International Motor Museum on 17 September 2014. The event will run from 10.30am – 1.30pm. With just days to go and 40 stall holders booked, the event is gearing up to showcase Somerset’s high quality food and drink producers. Presented by South Somerset District Council with the backing of European funding (Interreg 2 Seas Fish & Chips project), the food show is promoting local food and drink producers to a wider consumer market, helping them to make business connections and increase their sales and market reach.
