Wells MP Tessa Munt joined over 40 members of the Somerset business community at a recent breakfast event held at Wells Golf Club, organised by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce. Delegates heard Tessa Munt MP speak about her political career to date and explain what her current role entails. She spoke about her strong relationship with Vince Cable, which provides her with an opportunity to take local business issues directly to the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills. Trio of Green Flag Awards for District Council countryside sites
South Somerset District Council is celebrating a trio of Green Flag Awards for their countryside sites including Chard Reservoir, Ham Hill Country Park and Yeovil Country Park. It is the 9th year running that Ham Hill and Yeovil have received this award and the 5th year for Chard Reservoir. Ham Hill Country Park received their award in the form of a Green Heritage Award which recognises the historic importance of the site and that the site is being managed to protect its heritage features.
