Staff at Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Wambrook, Near Chard, Somerset are celebrating due to the success of their annual Fun Dog Day held on Sunday 7th September 2014. Despite there being many other events on the same day, great weather encouraged a huge turnout of competitors and winners from Dorset, Devon and Somerset. A local food show – The Only Way is Local – is to be held at Haynes International Motor Museum on 17 September 2014. The event will run from 10.30am – 1.30pm. With just days to go and 40 stall holders booked, the event is gearing up to showcase Somerset’s high quality food and drink producers. Presented by South Somerset District Council with the backing of European funding (Interreg 2 Seas Fish & Chips project), the food show is promoting local food and drink producers to a wider consumer market, helping them to make business connections and increase their sales and market reach. Somerset Art Weeks 2014 Launch Party Friday 12 September
To celebrate the Art Weeks Open Studio Event this year, SAW invites visitors and artists to gather and enjoy a unique evening of audio visual experience.
