Somerset based Pop-Folk songstress Theya is a self taught pianist who, at the young age of 18, has already performed at the 100 Club (London), The Millennium Centre (Cardiff) and Party in the Park (Somerset). Theya’s style is reminiscent of Lucy Rose and Birdy. Somerset Firm Muck Out Goats at Animal Sanctuary
Spending a day recently at Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Wambrook, near Chard mucking out the goats wasn’t as easy as the team from Estadia in Taunton thought. Having chosen Ferne Animal Sanctuary as their Charity of the Year, Estadia decided one way to help was to combine volunteering with a team-building day. Re-launch of Yeovil Markets in Lower Middle Street
South Somerset District Council is set to re-launch the Tuesday and Friday Market in Yeovil Town Centre starting from Friday 5 December. The Markets are located in Lower Middle Street and are held between 8.00am – 3.00pm. On Friday 5 and Tuesday 9 December, Yeovil’s markets will be re-launched with a range of exciting new initiatives including new branding, advertising with local radio, new signage, reduced pitch fees for new and existing traders, free public liability insurance for new businesses and free car parking from 9 am to 3 pm in SSDC Car parks (using vouchers from the Western Gazette).
