Budget welcomed but light on detail, says Somerset Chamber

Somerset ChamberThere was some good news for business in this year’s budget, according to the CEO of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, but more detail would have been welcomed. Neil Murphy, CEO of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, said, “With Parliament being dissolved later this month and whoever is elected to government producing another budget later this year, it was probably too much to expect the Chancellor’s budget to include significant announcements. Check for Easter waste collection changes

Somerset Waste Partnership.pngGood Friday and Easter Monday will mean changes for recycling and rubbish collections, Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP) has announced. Collections due on Good Friday 3 April will take place on Saturday 4 April. Easter Monday on 6 April will move all services in that week to one day later, including Friday’s pick-up on Saturday 11 April. Full story: Read more
