A waste removal operation for the marooned villages of Muchelney, Muchelney Ham and Thorney has been carried out today [Tuesday 21 January]. The task involved local people, Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP), Somerset County Council’s civil contingencies team, and the Somerset Rural Community Council’s village agent.
