Veronica Venables-Ross has been elected President of Yeovil, Sherborne & Districts Soroptimists, taking over from Jen Gardner, who has been President for the past year. After receiving the presidential chain of office, Mrs Venables-Ross reminded members that the club’s main charities this year are the Zest Café in Sherborne, which helps people recovering from mental health problems, and Water Aid’s ‘To Be A Girl’ campaign.  Fundraising events throughout her presidential year will benefit these, and other, organisations.
