Southern Co-op Funeralcare Holds Charity Hand Carwash Raising Over £200 for Disabled Children
The Southern Co-operative Funeralcare branches in Shaftesbury and Gillingham hosted a hand car wash with tea and cake to raise over £235 for the disabled children’s charity, Whizz-Kidz. The funeral home colleagues and volunteers scrubbed cars, campervans and even a tractor outside the Shaftesbury funeral home on Salisbury Road, whilst the owners waited in the comfort of the branch with hot tea and fresh, homemade cakes. Shaftesbury Glamping Farm wins accolade at Dorset Tourism Awards
A family-run luxury glamping experience near Shaftesbury has picked up a Bronze Award at the third annual Dorset Tourism Awards. Owners Mark and Caryl Ralph, who opened the campsite at their former dairy farm at Stour Row just three years ago, received the award in the Self Catering category at the Tank Museum on Thursday.
