Historic features of two Mendip villages to be documented

Mendip District CouncilDraft documents have been produced to highlight Pilton’s and South Horrington’s architectural and historical features. The draft Pilton Conservation Area Appraisal and Mendip Hospital Conservation Area Appraisal, produced by Mendip District Council, are both going out to public consultation on Friday 14 February. Major boost for Wells sports clubs relocation plan

Mendip Proposals for a new state-of-the-art sports campus in Wells have taken a major step forward after Mendip councillors gave their initial backing to the plan. At last night’s (Monday 11th November) meeting of the council’s Cabinet, councillors agreed to progress to the next stage of an ambitious scheme which could see Wells Rugby Club and Wells Sports Club relocate to land in Haybridge.
