Residents of South Somerset are invited to join the Countryside Rangers this coming weekend and plant a tree at Ham Hill Country Park for Christmas. The Ranger team at South Somerset District Council’s Ham Hill Country Park recently received a free tree pack from the Woodland Trust to plant in Pit Wood, which form part of the Country Park site. Country Park Dog shows a treat for all
Tails were wagging with delight after South Somerset District Council successfully held two Dog Shows at Ham Hill Country Park and Yeovil Country Park. Over 95 dogs entered the various classes at the dog show at Yeovil Country Park held on 2 June and plenty of visitors who did not have dogs also attended the event. Profits raised from that day which will be split evenly between Heavens Gate and the Dogs Trust, Salisbury. Meanwhile, at the Ham Hill Country Park Fun Dog Show on 12 July, more than 180 dogs entered the events on the day and profits from the event will be split between the Friends of Ham Hill group and Ferne Animal Sanctuary. Spectacular dog show set for Ham Hill this coming weekend
Ham Hill Country Park boasts some of the most spectacular views in Somerset, and this weekend it will host a spectacular dog show – an absolute must for all dog enthusiasts. The Ham Hill Fun Dog Show, organised by Friends of Ham Hill Country Park Donna McNeill and Sarah Cutler, is being held on Sunday 12 July with gates opening from 10am. Classes will start from 11am.
