Weldmar Hospicecare held its annual volunteers event at the Dorford Centre, Dorchester at the end of April, attended by over 150 volunteers. Duke’s Gallery are delighted to be showing an exhibition by the, Mill Street Memories project detailing life from the turn of the century Dorchester. Featuring a fantastic archive of recently discovered photos of local Dorchester life alongside the voices from the past, the exhibition preserves an important and historic part of days gone by in Dorset’s county town. New summer rounders leagues are coming to Dorchester and Sherborne. West Dorset District Council has been awarded funding from Rounders England to help set up the leagues to encourage people to take up the sport. Leagues have been set up at Dorchester Rugby Club and the district council-run Gryphon Sports Centre. Full story: Read more
