Young people will be flying down a 30 metre zip line and clambering over South Somerset’s first explorer dome climbing frame when the King Arthur Drive play area in Yeovil is formally opened on Saturday 11 April. The opening ceremony is the culmination of a two year project which has been led by South Somerset District Council, Brympton Parish Council, Knightstone Housing Association, the local Police Community Support Officer and Yarlington Housing Group. Community put down roots at King Arthur Drive Play Area
Local residents rolled up their sleeves and got digging for the Tree Planting Day which formed part of the brand new King Arthur Drive Play Area project in Yeovil. The new play area will provide a challenging and fun environment for young people and will feature a range of exciting new equipment including a zip line, a toddler and junior climbing frame, a basket swing as well as a new footpath and seating.
