Blackmore Vale Lions Swimarathon Exceeds all Expectations
A total of 27 teams took place in this the 28th year of the Blackmore Vale Lions Swimarathon at Clayesmore School. Although the number of teams were slightly down on last year the results this year well exceeded the previous year in every respect. Although no records were broken the customary enthusiasm was displayed by swimmers and spectators alike and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. BLACKMORE VALE LIONS SWIMARATHON GREAT SUCCESS
The Blackmore Vale Lions organised another successful charity fundraising event on the weekend of the 7th and 8th March. The 28th Swimarathon was held once again at Clayesmore School Sports Centre and 156 swimmers of all ages took part. They made up 27 teams (nominally six to a team) who swam in relay for 55 minutes achieving a total distance of 82 kilometres. Full story: Read more
