South Somerset District Council takes action under new Community Protection Notice

SSDCSouth Somerset District Council (SSDC) is today taking action under the new Community Protection Notice regime contained in the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Contractors working on behalf of SSDC are attending a site in Yeovil in order to take direct action to remove graffiti from a private wall at Kingston from 9:00am. Zero Project: What’s it all about?

downloadSince 2007, the Zero Project has been successfully running under 18’s nightclub events which give young people from school year 9 until the age of 17 the opportunity to socialise in a safe and supervised environment. The project aims to reduce alcohol related anti-social behaviour, increase take-up of physical activity, reduce binge and underage drinking and misuse of drugs; and also provide specialist advice or guidance on issues affecting young people. Mendip trials new national initiative to tackle anti-social behaviour

Mendip District CouncilThe trial of a new national initiative aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour is to be launched in Mendip next week. Mendip joins several other areas around the country in piloting the Community Trigger scheme, before it is rolled out nationally.
