Council’s band of staff hard at work as Glastonbury gets ready to party
Each year, a town the size of Sunderland temporarily sets up camp in the middle of the beautiful Mendip countryside for one of the world’s most famous music festivals – Glastonbury. A huge amount of work goes into making the festival a success and, with just a few weeks until around 203,000 people descend on Worthy Farm in Pilton, Mendip District Council staff are hard at work behind the scenes, doing their bit to make sure the event passes off as safely as possible. 2015 Yeovil Aquathlon event at Goldenstones Leisure Centre, Sunday 1st March 2015
Following on from the successful 2013 and 2014 events, Wessex Wizards Triathlon Club will be hosting the 2015 Yeovil Aquathlon event at Goldenstones Leisure Centre on Sunday 1st March. This year the event will see the introduction of a new childrens race alongside the existing adults race, providing a great event opportunity for the whole family. Located in the beautiful grounds of the 127 acre Yeovil Country Park on the southern edge of Yeovil, the race begins with the swim at Goldenstones Leisure Centre followed by a multi-terrain run around the park.
