Sponsored cyclists raise £1,700 for Piers Simon Appeal

Almost 50 riders turned out for the latest Piers Simon Appeal sponsored Day Ride on 14th October, raising over £1,700 for the Somerset based charity so far with donations still coming in.

Despite a chilly and foggy start to the day at Chilthorne Domer, Yeovil, the weather cleared up nicely for the 35 mile ride to the breathtaking Cheddar Gorge – or 65 miles for those tackling the round trip.

Charity Liaison Officer, Luke Simon, says, “It was a great day and everyone was really upbeat. The Gorge was by far the hardest part, being up to 31% in gradient and six miles from the foot of the Gorge to the café – but the positivity and team spirit of those who took part was wonderful.”
