A grant from South Somerset District Council has helped a community group in Ash to install new planters to support the growth of wildflowers in the village’s Millennium Wood. Ash Millennium Wood Management Group received a grant of £370 from SSDC’s Area North Committee towards the cost of their project to build raised flower beds in the corner of the Millennium Wood. From teacher to florist, one mum decided to make the most of her maternity leave and started a new career and business following the birth of her son. On Saturday 10th December, Father Christmas will be visiting Kilver Court’s annual Christmas Fair. Father Christmas will be in his very special grotto in the gardens with his reindeer Rudolf, ready to meet and greet children and give each child a special Christmas gift.
