When John and Patricia McKenzie began collecting vesta cases in the 1960s, they could not have anticipated that they would eventually acquire over 2500 of the desirable little match holders. After half a century of keen buying, the first half of the collection went under the hammer at Lawrences in Crewkerne recently and met with keen enthusiasm from a new generation of devotees. Wyke Farms secures another “100% Green” Award
Wyke Farms is proud to announce Jason Fewell, Engineering Director at Wyke Farms, has won the Sustainable ‘Unsung Hero’ Award at the ASDA Sustain and Save Exchange (SSE) Awards 2016-2017, at a summit run by 2degrees Network in Leeds last week. Castle Cary community project benefits from Committee grant
A newly formed community group in Castle Cary has benefited from a South Somerset District Council (SSDC) grant of £5,800 towards the purchase of a community garden. The Moat Garden Project registered with the Charity Commission in October last year, with a view to raising the funds needed to purchase an amenity space and preserve it for the community into the future.
