Hestercombe Gallery secures funding for the arts

Hestercombe has been awarded a grant of £69,000 from Arts Council England to continue its gallery and arts programme in 2017. This year, thanks to this grant and funding from Taunton Deane Borough Council, the award-winning heritage attraction, near Taunton in Somerset, will see over 10 artists engaging with the gardens, landscape, archives, buildings and visitors. Somerset Wildlife Trust is pleased to present the return of its successful Somerset Nature Reserves Fund. Launched in 2016, the Fund was established to raise money to safeguard some of Somerset’s most iconic landscapes and precious wildlife, and has already helped achieve some enormous gains for wildlife across the county. Free tennis for all at Wells Open Day: Saturday 22nd April

Wells Tennis Club

Wells Tennis Club is getting ready to host its annual open day on Saturday 22nd April. All five courts and two mini courts will be packed with free tennis-related activities from 9.30am until 2.00pm. As well as a chance to try tennis with a coach there will be crafts for children, hook the ball competitions, refreshments and discounted memberships on offer.  Rackets and balls can be provided on the day.
