The huge success of the November market and the positive knock-on effect to shops in the High Street, has encouraged Helen Reader, Mendip District Council, the market organisers, and Shepton Town Council to make this a regular event. Ladies from all over Somerset, Dorset and Devon flocked to Combe St Nicholas village hall near Chard recently for a sold-out flower arranging demonstration, “Let’s Celebrate Spring!” by award-winning Somerset floral designer Jackie Nicholls. The first Club Matters workshop on marketing was held on Wednesday 8 March at Chard Rugby FC in order to support local sports clubs, help them to thrive and provide good quality sporting opportunities to the residents of South Somerset. Full story: Read more
