Somerset and Devon Museums win National Lottery Support

A project to bring contemporary artists into eight museums in Somerset and Devon has been awarded more than £80,000 by Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund. Muse: Makers in Museums is led by the South West Heritage Trust in partnership with Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Somerset Art Works and the Community Museums Development Officer for Devon. Full story: Read more

Home Farm Fest Charity Music Festival Blown Away by the Success!

Home Farm Fest, the charity music festival held in Chilthorne Domer and the biggest annual fundraiser for the charity School in a Bag, has once again smashed its previous year’s fundraising total coming in at just over £72,700 – even if the windy conditions tried its hardest to scupper the music! Prestigious festival win for local lady

Last weekend at the two-day Axe Vale Gardening and Craft Festival at Axminster Showground, Axminster, Devon, award-winning floral designer and tutor Jackie Nicholls from Ashville Design, near Chard in Somerset, won first prize for “The Best Presented Stand in the Craft Marquee 2017″.
