Promoting local business – in a roundabout way

Yeovil Town CouncilThe Steering Group set up by Yeovil Town Council to promote Yeovil in Bloom is reviewing the sponsorship deals on a number of roundabouts in the Yeovil area.

A number of local businesses fund the planting out and the maintenance of these key gateways to the Town whilst, at the same time, promoting their businesses by way of an advertising board on the roundabout.

This innovative scheme has worked successfully for many years and a number of sponsorship deals involving roundabouts at key locations will shortly be coming to an end.

The Town Council is looking to enter into sponsorship deals for a two-year period and has agreed to allocate these by competitive tender. Organisations interested in bidding for these sites are requested to contact Yeovil Town Council at the following address for further details:

Chairman of the Steering Group, David Recardo said, “these roundabouts present a unique opportunity for businesses to support their local community. Many thousands of people pass these roundabouts every day and they offer an extremely effective way of getting your name across to a huge number of potential customers”.

Expressions of interest will need to be lodged with the Town Council by Noon on Friday 1 April 2016.
