Martin Down is a nationally important nature reserve, looked after by Natural England which invited the group to help cut and burn scrub – a vital part of the on-going management of the reserve, to preserve the chalk grassland that supports a myriad of bird and butterfly species. Five star rating for South Somerset District Council’s Food Hygiene Rating Scheme

Somerset Food Hygiene Rating SchemeA recent Food Hygiene Rating Scheme satisfaction survey has revealed that South Somerset District Council’s Food Safety team have been earning five star reviews. According to the recent survey, 100% of the 69 businesses who returned their questionnaires strongly agreed or agreed that the contact from the team was helpful. 74% also felt that displaying their Food Hygiene Rating score has had a positive effect on their business or trade.
