BBC News – Somerset and Devon’s superfast broadband deal delay

A deal to bring superfast broadband to rural parts of Somerset and Devon has been delayed over “contract issues”. In October, BT was chosen to deliver the service for the Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) programme over an eight-year period. Plea for information on abandoned dog in Yeovil

On Thursday 17 January at about 12.00pm South Somerset District Council enforcement officers received a call from a member of the public saying that a dog was tied to the fence at the Sunningdale doorstep green in Yeovil. The caller said that the dog had been tied up since 8.00am that morning in freezing temperatures. Full Story: Read More
