Successful partnership working with Age UK Somerset
South Somerset District Council has seen the successful results of working in partnership over the past year with Age UK Somerset, to support older people access the benefits to which they are entitled. Through providing £10,000 in funding, SSDC asked Age UK Somerset to provide specialist welfare benefits advice to older people in the district, mainly through one-to-one sessions in people’s homes, but also through a series of talks to groups which help older people.
