Vale of Camelot community spirit to be celebrated after lottery funding

Thanks to the support of South Somerset District Council’s Arts Development Service, Tea Room Arts in South Cadbury will be the recipient of almost £10,000 of lottery funding from Awards for All. The lottery funding will help to deliver a project that will celebrate community spirit in the Vale of Camelot. Chard Countryside Day kicks off a top few months of Country Park fun

Chard Countryside Day at the beginning of September was a roaring success with over 250 visitors enjoying free activities including fire lighting, clay modelling, pond dipping and toasting marshmallows. The pond dipping was very successful, with over 50 sticklebacks caught, plenty of lesser water boatman, some whirligig beetles and even a water scorpion. Full story: Read more
