Following a week of intense hiking, sheer drops, crumbling crevices and only a block of wood to lay her head on at night, Jeanette Reid, co-owner of The Queens Arms in Corton Denham, Somerset, has completed her 76km hike along the Beijing province section of the Great Wall of China, raising over £5,250 for the NSPCC through Charity Challenge. Revitalised Crewkerne Chamber unveiled at AGM
Local businessman Brian Forster has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Crewkerne Area Business Chamber at this year’s AGM. Founder of PrototypeMe, Brian Forster was voted in following the resignation of Jonathan Edgington, who is no longer based in the town. Working alongside a committee of local business people, Brian outlined his intention to reinvigorate the organisation, clarifying what local businesses want from the Chamber and re-establishing it with this in mind. Martock residents invited to take steps towards a healthier lifestyle
Residents living in and around Martock are being encouraged to join two enthusiastic new volunteers for a free health walk around the town. Maggie and Peter Ludbrook recently set up the monthly walking group after completing one of the free Health Walk Leader Training days offered by South Somerset District Council.
